This tour gives you the opportunity to taste World wide famous
Bulgarian red wines from indigenous grapes such as Mavrud and
Gamza, and from classic varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon and
Merlot. Your will also have the chance to try one of the country's
few sparkling wines and many of its delicious foods. You visit
Bulgaria's capital Sofia and two of its finest cities. Plovdiv
-famous for its beautiful Architecture of the National Revival
Period, and Veliko Turnovo6 the former capital of the Second Bulgarian
Kingdom, situated on the steep banks of the river Yantra.
1 day Arrival at Sofia airport. Welcome and transfer

city tour of Sofia and visit to the Rila Monastery and its museum,
lunch*. Journey to Sandanski and overnight.

visit to Damianitsa winery, where the famous Melnik wines (one
of Winston Churchill's favourites) are produced. Wine tasting
and lunch. Departure for Bansko, sightseeing tour and dinner*.

departure for Plovdiv. Sightseeing tour of the Old Town of Plovdiv,
then visit to Assenovgrad winery, the producer of Mavrud wines.

departure for Veliko Turnovo. Sightseeing tour of Veliko Turnovo
